Salem, IN (May 8, 2018) – Officials from Mt. Lawn Speedway and Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS have announced that the Bob Fields Memorial 200 Lawrence Towing CRA Street Stock Five Crown Series event that was postponed this past Sunday at Mt. Lawn Speedway because of weather, has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 25th, with a rain date of Sunday, August 26th. The event will now be the Championship event for the CRA Street Stock Five Crown Series and the series final event before the Championship Chase begins.
The event will be completely rerun with practice, qualifying and the 200 lap event. Since qualifying was completed but no racing, teams that were present on May 6th will receive 25 appearance points, which will be added to their season points before the series next event. In addition to the $3,000 to win purse, the track will also award close to $2,000 in special event cash lap bonuses for the Bob Fields Memorial 200. A complete schedule of events for the rescheduled event will be announced at a later date.
The next event for the Lawrence Towing CRA Street Stocks will be the Short Track U. S. Nationals presented by Vore’s Welding at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 19th and Sunday May 20th.
