“It feels good to get this win,” remarked Barnes in victory lane. “It had been a while since I had won a race, you just never know when or if you’re going to get another one, so this is special, especially with my son finishing second behind me. I want to thank everyone on this team for all their hard work, we enjoyed having Schrader race our team car today, I’m glad I got the jump on him at the start, I think he would have been tough to beat!”
The Barnes tandem did one of their famous first and second place burnouts on the front stretch after the race, but lately it had been Barnes Jr. winning and Barnes Sr. in second, but on Sunday it was Sr. getting the win.
Jeffersonville, Indiana’s Skeeter Crum finished in third place, he was the highest finisher with the Lucas Oil Great American Stocks.
