Baize Strong at MEP Fall Brawl

Huntersville, N.C. (September 28, 2015) – He’s back! Hunter Baize, after a stretch of bad luck, returned to form this past weekend at the Lucas Oil Raceway (Ind.). The Kentucky driver drove from 14th to 6th in Sunday afternoon’s ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS portion of the McGunegill Engine Performance Fall Brawl. He now sits only four points out of second place in series points with one race remaining, the 44th Running of the Winchester 400 on Sunday, October 11, 2015.

Baize returned to his stellar 2015 form this past weekend at the very fast Lucas Oil Raceway located in Brownsburg, Ind. After posting the second fastest lap in final practice on Saturday, he knew he had a fast No. 13 Federated Auto Parts / Bicycle Playing Cards / Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood Super Late Model. Baize started mid-pack and worked his way through the field. He went on to finish sixth and gained valuable ground on second place in the ARCA/CRA Super Series points standings.

“We had a good car especially just past halfway,” Baize told a reporter after the race. “This track is very line-sensitive, the car was working well on the bottom, but ultimately it was hard on our right front tire. That’s all she had at the end. After the tough few weeks we have had, I’m happy we could bring the car home in one piece. The guys at Van Doorn Racing Development work so hard, and it’s nice to reward them with a solid day.”

Baize heads into the final ARCA/CRA Super Series event of the season, the Winchester 400, third in points just four markers out of second. The Winchester Speedway located in Winchester, Ind., will play host to the 44th Running of the Winchester 400. The race, a marquee Super Late Model event, will feature some of the best drivers in the country such as Erik Jones and Ross Kenseth.

For the remainder of the 2015 season Baize’s Van Doorn Racing Development Pro and Super Late Model race cars will carry sponsorship from Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood, B&K Wood Products, Federated Auto Parts, Bicycle Playing Cards, Kawasaki, Wood-Mizer, and Steel City Bolt.
