Baize Preparing to “Klash” at Kalamazoo

Huntersville, North Carolina (Monday, August 10, 2015): Hunter Baize’s whirlwind race schedule will continue Wednesday at Kalamazoo Speedway located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He will return to the seat of his No. 13 Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood Super Late Model for race No. 8 in the season-long chase for ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS championship, The Kalamazoo Klash 125. Baize is coming off a ninth-place effort in his ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards debut driving the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts / Bicycle Playing Cards car for Ken Schrader Racing at Berlin Raceway (Mich.) in the Federated Auto Parts 200.

The Kalamazoo Klash 125 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series will run on Wednesday, August 12th alongside the high-powered Outlaw Super Late Models. The (0.375) 3/8-mile semi-banked NASCAR-sanctioned speedway continues to draw the best drivers and the best fans in all of the motorsports. This year’s edition of the Kalamazoo Klash will feature reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, Matt Crafton, as well as the stars of Outlaw Super Late Model competition. The ARCA/CRA Super Series portion of the event never disappoints. Last season Kyle Busch won an exciting race that saw Van Doorn Racing Development’s own, Johnny Van Doorn battle the NASCAR Superstar door-to-door for the win. Baize is looking to return to victory lane and close the gap on Grant Quinlan for the ARCA/CRA Super Series championship points lead with the help of Van Doorn Racing Development.

“I’m excited about heading to Kalamazoo Speedway (Mich.) for the Kalamazoo Klash 125,” Baize said. “I’m looking forward to heading to a new track, and one where Van Doorn Racing Development has been very fast at in the past. After coming off a solid day in the Federated Auto Parts 200 with the Ken Schrader Racing team, I’m hoping to continue that momentum with Hunter Baize Racing team.”

On Saturday, August 15th, Baize, and his No. 13 Hunter Baize Racing team, led by Van Doorn Racing Development will make the trip to Southeast Michigan, and the (0.250) 1/4-mile Flat Rock Speedway. It will be Baize’s first appearance at the speedway. The 7-Up 125 will be race No. 9 in the season-long chase for ARCA/CRA Super Series championship.

For the remainder of the 2015 season Baize’s Van Doorn Racing Development Pro and Super Late Model race cars will carry sponsorship from Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood, B&K Wood Products, Federated Auto Parts, Bicycle Playing Cards, Kawasaki, Wood-Mizer, and Steel City Bolt.
