Baize Okay After Hard Hit, Ready for Columbus

Huntersville, N.C. (September 8, 2015) – It’s been a career season for Hunter Baize. The last few weeks, however, at least when it comes to ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS competition, haven’t been kind to him. Despite having fast race cars the last two races, Baize has recorded two DNFs. This past weekend, he had a fast No. 13 Federated Auto Parts / Bicycle Playing Cards Super Late Model but contact from another competitor sent him hard into the wall.
Baize came into Monday’s ARCA/CRA Super Series portion of the Labor Day World Stock Car Festival at Winchester Speedway (Ind.), second in series points. In addition to sitting second in points, he has a series leading two victories this season which is equal to the win total of both NASCAR driver Erik Jones and Brain Campbell in the ARCA/CRA Super Series this season. This coming Sunday he returns to one of his favorite racetracks and the site of his first career CRA victory, Columbus Motor Speedway located in Columbus, Ohio.

“The Winchester 100 definitely didn’t go as planned,” Baize said. “The guys at Van Doorn Racing Development gave me a solid Federated Auto Parts machine and the race started well for us. We were just riding and logging laps, when a car got into the back of us, ending our race. I hate it for everyone that makes my dream possible. We’ll be ready to go again Sunday at Columbus (Motor Speedway) (Ohio).”

The Columbus Motor Speedway (Ohio) will host race No. 12 in the season-long chase for the ARCA/CRA Super Series championship. The Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop will go green Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2015. The (0.333) 1/3-mile NASCAR sanctioned Columbus Motor Speedway (Ohio) is one of the most difficult tracks that the ARCA/CRA Super Series travels to, and it will certainly put on a great show.

For the remainder of the 2015 season Baize’s Van Doorn Racing Development Pro and Super Late Model race cars will carry sponsorship from Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood, B&K Wood Products, Federated Auto Parts, Bicycle Playing Cards, Kawasaki, Wood-Mizer, and Steel City Bolt.
