Huntersville, N.C. (September 9, 2015) – Every race car driver has a track that they enjoy. For Bremen, Kentucky native, Hunter Baize, that track is Columbus Motor Speedway located in Columbus, Ohio. During his sophomore season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, he went to victory lane at the (0.333) 1/3-mile track and when he returned there earlier this year he was fast again. Weather postponed the event but finally Baize will get the opportunity to hop back behind the wheel the No. 13 Federated Auto Parts / Bicycle Playing Cards Super Late Model once again at Columbus Motor Speedway (Ohio) this weekend.
The Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will run on Sunday, September 13, 2015. The event will feature some of the best drivers in the country including former NASCAR star Jeremy Mayfield. Baize will be going for his third victory of the season. He scored a win at Illiana Motor Speedway (Ind.) on May 25, 2015, and another win at Flat Rock Speedway (Mich.) on August 15, 2015.
“I’ve been waiting to return to Columbus Motor Speedway all season,” Baize said. “I love that place. It is just a track that I’ve always felt comfortable at, and I’m excited to get on track. Van Doorn Racing Development will bring me a fast car like they always do, and I’ll give them everything I have.”
Baize only has a handful of races left this season. He will return to Lucas Oil Raceway (Ind.) at the end of the month and then begin preparing for the Winchester 400 at the historic Winchester Speedway located in Winchester, Ind. A marquee event, this year’s Winchester 400, is expected to draw one of the strongest fields in its history. Drivers such as NASCAR driver’s Erik Jones, Daniel Hemric, and Ross Kenseth will be there competing against some of the best drivers in late model competition. It is a race that Baize has had circled on his calendar for months.
For the remainder of the 2015 season Baize’s Van Doorn Racing Development Pro and Super Late Model race cars will carry sponsorship from Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood, B&K Wood Products, Federated Auto Parts, Bicycle Playing Cards, Kawasaki, Wood-Mizer, and Steel City Bolt.
