Charlotte, North Carolina (Tuesday, April 21, 2015): The start of an extremely busy stretch for Hunter Baize begins this weekend at Anderson Speedway (IN). The Kentucky driver will run six events in Champion Racing Association sanctioned divisions. Trips to Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio are in the cards for the No. 13 team.
Baize collected his first top 10 of the season earlier this month at the Toledo Speedway (OH) in the 7-UP 100. The first points paying ARCA/CRA Super Series event of the season saw the 17-year old driver finish 7th. He never fell outside the top eight and battled with drivers such as 2-time and defending ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden and 2012 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion and current Joe Gibbs Racing Development Driver Cody Coughlin.
This weekend Baize is heading to the tough 1/4 (0.250) mile Anderson Speedway (IN) for the second race in the ARCA/CRA Super Series season. This will be his first Super Late Model start at the speedway.
I’m very excited about heading to Anderson Speedway this weekend for the Anderson 125,” Baize said. “I believe with my VRD crew being extremely familiar with Anderson, and it being a track where I have made multiple starts, we can be extremely competitive.”
This season Baize’s Van Doorn Racing Development Pro and Super Late Model race cars will carry sponsorship from Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood, B&K Wood Products, Kawasaki, Wood-Mizer, and Steel City Bolt.
