Salem, IN (September 8, 2020) – Ft. Wayne, Indiana’s Austin Coe took the lead on lap 29 and never looked back in picking up his second straight Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS win of the season and his second straight series win at Mt. Lawn Speedway, after winning the Norton Transport Raintree 100 at Mt. Lawn Speedway on August 16th.
With the win Coe joins series regular season Champion Tanner Jack as locked in to the four Chase for the Championship drivers who will compete for the series 2020 Championship at the Season Championship event on Saturday, October 10th of Winchester 400 Weekend. Currently 2007 series Champion Billy Hutson, Cassten Everidge, Kent Carson, Cory Adams and Rokkkie Rose who will be racing the next two series events to secure the other two positions in the final four drivers to race for the series 2020
Coe came from his sixth starting position after not qualifying in the invert to get the win. Coe picked up the AR Bodies Cool Move of the Race Award for his pass for the lead and picked up the Racing Electronics Hardcharger Award. It was the third feature win of the season for Coe at Mt. Lawn, who also won one of the Mt. Lawn Modified features earlier this season.
Jack finished in second tying his best finish to date with the series, which he did in the series season opener at Anderson Speedway. Hutson finished in third and was the Allstar Performance Fast Qualifier. Everidge finished in fourth place, one position higher than his finish in the Raintree 100. Jason Atkinson rounded out the top five finishers.
Cory Adams was awarded the KRJ Race Products Sweet Move of the Race Award after having to rebuild the front end of the car Saturday night before Sunday ‘s feature after coming off the track in practice on Saturday and heavily damaging his race car. Adams finished in ninth place.
