Salem, IN (February 11, 2016) – 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Drivers Champion Dalton Armstrong is set to kick off his 2016 racing season by competing in the 50th Addition of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway, in New Smyrna, Florida starting this Friday. Armstrong will be behind the wheel of the #4 Scott Neal Racing Ford Fusion sponsored by Winfield, PGG, Baker Crop Insurance, Motion Motors and Mike Knepley Design.
Armstrong kicked off his very successful 2015 race season in much the same manner, winning the Pro Late Model Championship at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, getting two wins, including winning the divisions only 100 lap event of the week. Armstrong use that momentum to start the 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour season with a win in the series season opener at Springport Motor Speedway and got a second win in August at Auto City Speedway on his way to winning the 2015 Drivers Championship for the Crate Late Model Series sanctioned by Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS.
Armstrong will move up and compete in the Super Late Model Division at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing this year, looking to get his first Super Late Model victory and possibly another World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Championship. Armstrong looks to gain experience and hopes to build momentum like last year as he looks to run for the 2016 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Season Championship and Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year honors.
The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway begins this Friday, February 12th and will continue through Saturday, February 20th. The Super Late Models will compete in seven of the nine nights of racing starting with a 35 lap features this Friday and Saturday. The Supers will have off on Sunday and will return with a 35 lap feature on Monday, and then a 50 lap feature on Tuesday. The Supers will have 35 lap features on Wednesday and Thursday before their 100 lap finale on Saturday, February 20th.
