ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie Matt Hall Hoping For Success At Columbus Motor Speedway

2nd Annual Bud St. Amant Memorial next for Newport, MI freshman

Newport, Michigan (Wednesday, June 24, 2015): The 2015 racing season rolls on for Matt Hall and his Matt Hall Motorsports Team. A full foray into the 2015 schedule of events within the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS has been the plan all along for the Great Lakes State driver and while the results haven’t been to his or his teams liking, Hall knows that a nice stretch of events at tracks he’s familiar with is coming. In the meantime, Hall will continue to bide his time, get through these next few races unscathed and then hopes to make a mid season charge.

The 2nd Annual Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 is set for Saturday, June 27th as the 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked, circular shaped paved oval  of Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio hosts the ARCA/CRA Super Series for the 10th time overall in series history. Hall did attend Columbus in 2014 where he was fast in practice, but that show was rained out. His only other prior experience at the Buckeye State capital came back in 2011.

“After getting past one of our least favorite places and somewhere we have never been before we are looking forward to the Bud St. Amant Memorial.” Stated the Newport, Michigan driver. “Kyle Jones Racing (KJR) has been working hand and hand with us and not giving up. We have overcome more problems this year than in the past five years of racing but we are working thru them. We look to be pretty solid with all the success KJR has at Columbus this year.” He added.

“I hope that we can have a trouble free weekend heading into the first of races we believe we can be extremely strong at.” Continued the 22-year-old. “Hopes were high starting at Toledo which is one of our home tracks, but suffered a broke motor and had to overcome many obstacles. We are working towards good finishes at places we are not familiar with as we know a string of races coming in July and August that should be extremely good for us are in the near future. We need to stay consistent and gain as many points as possible and stay within reason of the leader in points until we hit that huge string of my absolute best and favorite tracks.” He ended.

Five races into the 2015 racing season, Hall is sitting sixth overall in points and third in the rookie of the year title chase. He scored his first top 10 finish of the season at Illiana Motor Speedway (IN) on Memorial Day Monday, May 25th in the ARCA/CRA portion of the Calypso Lemonade Chicagoland Shootout. Four of the five races he’s taken the green flag in have resulted in at least a top 15 finish.
