100% Chance of Rain and Cool Temperatures in the Forecast for all Day Saturday
Salem, Indiana (Thursday, April 23, 2015): With a forecast of 100% chance of rain throughout the entire day and cool temperatures, Anderson Speedway officials have decided to go ahead and move this Saturday night’s race program to Sunday afternoon for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series.
“Rather than have everyone sit around the track all day on Saturday in the rain and cool temperatures, we decided it would be best to just go ahead and move Saturday night’s program to Sunday afternoon,” remarked Rick Dawson, the Owner/Promoter of Anderson Speedway. “The forecast for Sunday is sunny with highs in the low 60’s. With several teams traveling a long way for this event, we wanted to make sure we get it in this weekend, so that’s why we will race it on Sunday afternoon!”
The track will still have an open practice as scheduled on Friday, pits open at 3pm and practice will run from 4pm until dark. Pit gates will open on Sunday morning at 9am, there are to be no motors fired until 11:30am. Practice will begin at 11:30am with qualifying beginning at 1:30pm. The race program will begin at 3pm and will include the Madison County Community Health Center 125 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series plus racing from the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series in the 100 lap Glen Niebel Classic.
