The ARCA Midwest Tour presented by Scag Power Equipment and Lester Buildings has announced changes for the 2013 racing schedule. The event at Tomah’s Veterans Raceway Park has been moved to Sunday August 4th. The Midwest Truck Tour event previously scheduled for that same weekend will not be rescheduled.
ARCA Midwest Tour Vice President Steve Einhaus commented on the reasons for the changes.
“When this date was scheduled, there was one minor detail that was missed and that is one of the largest National Truck and Tractor Pull weekends in the US. Thousands of people come from all over the nation for this event and there is no reason to try and compete against that,” said Einhaus. “Mike Inglett and the guys at Veterans Raceway Park have put their heart and soul into getting the track up and running along with a major paving job in process at this time. We spent some time searching and found a date that does not conflict with any other major series or events in the Midwest. It will be a great afternoon of racing for them as they prepare to bring in the stars and cars of the ARCA Midwest Tour.
The Midwest Truck Tour event that was previously scheduled for June 21st will not be rescheduled.
“The Truck guys were on overload with a very tough schedule so eliminating this event will not affect those guys too much,” said Einhaus.
