The June 6 program, which features the Turn One CRA Pro Series in the Motor City 125 was recently boosted into one of the biggest Late Model shows in the state of Michigan with the addition of the rescheduled ARCA Outlaw Super Late Model Joy Fair Memorial 100, which was postponed by inclement weather two weeks ago.
Fans in attendance for the unique doubleheader will also have the opportunity to visit with NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship contender Grant Enfinger, who will come to the quarter-mile oval affectionately known as “The Level Pebble” after the conclusion of the DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 Powered by Precision Vehicle Logistics at nearby Michigan International Speedway.
Enfinger, the 2015 ARCA Menards Series champion, has been a consistent Truck championship contender since he made the leap full-time into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2017. He has 12 career victories in 231 career starts and finished a career-best second in the championship standings in 2023. He has 100 career ARCA Menards Series starts with 16 total wins, most recently in 2017 on the one-mile dirt oval at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
The Turn One CRA Pro Series features crate engine-powered template bodied late models. The series is comprised of eleven races at nine different tracks in six states; the season opened three weeks ago at Owosso Speedway with Treyten Lapcevich taking the victory.
A field of over 20 cars is expected. Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour and ARCA Menards Series East regular Carson Brown, Turn One CRA Pro Series standout Blake Rowe, former Flat Rock regulars Justin Schoeder and Guy Fire, and former Toledo Speedway regulars Michael Simko and Gabrielle Grigsby have all filed entries as has Belle River, Ontario’s Chase Pinnsonneault.
The Foy Fair 100 is also expected to feature a field of more than 20 drivers. The race is held in memory of the all-time winningest driver in Flat Rock Speedway’s history. Fair, who won more than 700 feature races across the country throughout his career, was an eleven-time track champion with 159 victories at Flat Rock Speedway. From nearby Pontiac, he owned and operated Fair’s Garage for more than 60 years. Fair passed away in December, 2011 at 81 years of age.
The complete event schedule will be released in the coming days; the first race is slated to go green at a special 6 pm ET start time. Ticket and event information is available at FlatRockSpeedway.com.
