Holland, MI (January,8 2016) Two years ago KBR Development President Mike Bursley decided to close the doors on his KBR racing operation, which at the time housed Midwest Late Model Veteran Driver Brian Campbell. Campbell would go on and continue racing in the Midwest under his own formed team of Lakeshore Motorsports while Bursley would focus on other obligations, yet never fully leaving the racing industry. Now just a couple years later Bursley, along with new found business partner Zach Dunson, have decided to “re-open” KBR Development and pursue winning races and developing young talent.
“This is just really exciting for me, Bursley stated; When Zach said he wanted to go a different direction in his career but wanted to stay in the racing industry, I thought to myself, hey this could be a really great fit. He’s got drive and determination which is necessary in this sport and I don’t know of anyone that is more anxious and ambitious to get rolling than him.”
Dunson, who worked with a number of different teams and drivers during his time at Port City Chassis, is eager to get rolling. “When the opportunity came to partner with Mike, I couldn’t pass it up. Working together with him in the past, he shares the same goals and competitiveness that I do and I feel this is going to be a great combination;” Dunson added.
The two have already been hard at it working on building business relationships with current industry leaders and is establishing relationships with potential drivers. KBR plans to have a fleet of Super/Pro Template Late Model cars and work with a handful of different drivers all over the country in 2016
