Unofficial Race Results

Round 5 of the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series took place Monday afternoon as a part of the World Stock Car Festival, as 21 drivers attempted to tame the World’s Fastest Half Mile.

Brent Jack led lap one, but was quickly overtaken by Cassten Everidge as the field shuffled about. Jon Beach would be one of the drivers who started showing strength with J.P. Crabtree and Terry Fisher Jr. Fisher’s race would end after hsi right front tire went flat in turn 4, bringing the caution out and an opportunity for a restart. Cassten Everidge, who would lead the most laps of the race, would be overtaken by J.P. Crabtree following a restart, and Jon Beach, allowing both drivers to run first and second.

A five-car pile-up with Caleb Reschar, Will Kimmel, Chad Richardson, Rick Giannino, and Nathan Greene brought the crowd to its feet as the red flag was displayed. All drivers walked away from the accident.

J.P. Crabtree, Jon Beach, Cassten Everidge and Logan Runyon brought the field back to green with 15 laps to go. With the laps fading Jon Beach would shorten the gap to J.P. Crabtree but it wouldn’t be enough as J.P. Crabtree would win the Vore’s Welding & Steel 50 presented by McGunnegill Engine Performance.

Post race would be special as after the victory lane interview J.P. Crabtree would propose to his now fiance Betsy as the applause rained from the grandstands. An amazing way to end the World Stock Car Festival.
