LC #2 Jeff Storm gets huge jump at drop of the green flag and pulls away from Thor Anderson. Andrew Morrissey took advantage and got past Anderson before Anderson retook the transfer spot on lap 6. Morrissey dropped back to 4th as Rich Bickle got by as well. Storm stretched out his lead to a full straightaway Anderson pulled away from Bickle to gain the second transfer spot.
Qualifying procedures for today’s race: Top 20 in time make the feature. The top three in points from the 2012 season in each series that did not qualify on time. The top two finishers in each of the two last chance races. A total of 30 cars will start the 7up 150.
