Concord, North Carolina (Monday, November 30, 2015): For the first time in series history, Champion Racing Association (CRA) – one of the nation’s premier short track racing sanctioning bodies – will be announcing their plans for the 2016 season via live video.
In a partnership with Speed51.com, CRA officials will be releasing the 2016 schedules for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance following the Snowball Derby Kick-Off Show hosted this Tuesday night at Beef O’Brady’s in Pensacola, Florida.
Race fans unable to make it out to Beef O’Brady’s to be a part of the festivities will be able to watch the show for free live on Speed51 TV. The show is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. CST with the CRA schedule announcement to be made following the Derby show at approximately 8:00 p.m.
“We are looking forward to the release of the schedule on live video. It will be a first for the Champion Racing Association,” said R.J. Scott, CRA Managing Partner. “The fans will get to see a nice mix of great, traditional events as well as some exciting new ones during the 2016 season.”
The relationship between Speed51.com and CRA has seen the sanctioning body make many big announcements exclusively on 51 in recent years. Revealing the schedule through a live video format builds that relationship and gives fans a lot to be excited about.
“We’re extremely proud of the long-standing partnership we have with CRA and are pleased to be a part of releasing what is sure to be a great 2016 schedule,” said Matt Kentfield, Speed51.com Executive Director. “With the CRA schedule announcement and four days of intense racing at Five Flags, this is a week that fans will want to experience from start to finish.”
The live Speed51 TV Snowball Derby Kick-Off Show takes place at Beef O’Brady’s at 22 S. Palafox in Downtown Pensacola. Fans, drivers and teams are all encouraged to come out and have fun before the intensity of Snowball Derby week kicks off.
The free live broadcast leading up to the CRA schedule release will feature driver interviews, activities with drivers in attendance and more. Drivers who will be in attendance are encouraged to email brandon@speed51.com so that 51 can plan for possible interviews and activities.
