2014 JEGS/CRA Champion Returns to Action at Dixie

Huntersville, North Carlina (Thursday, July 9, 2015): 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion Dan Leeck is returning to the cockpit of his No. 12 Mr. Asphalt Chevrolet SS this weekend at his home track, Dixie Motor Speedway (Mich.). Instead of running for points in one series, the 25-year-old has decided to pick and choose the events, both Pro and Super Late Model, that he and his No. 12 Dan Leeck Racing team will run.

The Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com, the fourth race in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance season, will be Leeck’s third race of the season. He finished third in his only other JEGS/CRA All-Stars start back in early May at the Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Mich.

Dixie Motor Speedway located in Birch Run, Mich., the site of Friday’s Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com, is a (0.400) 4/10-mile semi-banked track featuring some of the nicest amenities in all of short track racing. In addition to the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the speedway also hosts the Main Event Racing Series, a premier Outlaw Super Late Model Series in the Midwestern United States.

“It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve raced at Dixie Motor Speedway (Mich.),” Leeck said. “It will be nice to race so close to home and in front of friends and family. Dixie is just one of those places that I enjoy. Hopefully, we can put it all together, have a good time, and run strong.”

Although Leeck’s remaining 2015 schedule is not yet determined, expect to see the Birch Run, Michigan driver at several Pro and Super Late Model events throughout the rest of the season. He will also continue to work with 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year, Corey Deuser.

Leeck’s No. 12 Chevrolet SS will carry sponsorship from Mr. Asphalt, Wellman Excavating, Bridge Lake Auto and Repair, Diesel Truck Sales, Helm Electric, Beyea Custom Headers, Checkered Flag Graphics, Hightower Racing Transmission, and Ilmor/PHM Engines.
