Avon, Indiana (Wednesday, June 24, 2015): After over a month off, complete with two rainouts in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, 19-year-old Quinnton Bear has been pacing the shop waiting for the calendar to turn over. With the next JEGS/CRA race not until the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend, Bear and his Car Owner / Father, Fred Bear have made the decision to go ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS racing. The 2nd Annual Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 is on Saturday, June 27th. It is Bear’s new Crew Chief, Gary St. Amant’s late Father’s memorial race in which he guided two-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Travis Braden to victory in back on August 2nd, 2014. Bear knows how special this event is to his new guide on top of the pit box as he prepares for just his second ever appearance in a Super Late Model.

“We had a really good car at Columbus back in May, but had a few incidents that didn’t work out in our favor. I need to correct those for this race,” Explained the now 19-year-old (On June 9th. “I know the guys will give me a strong car for this one. It’s a big race for Gary and I want to do the very best I can for him. Hopefully we’ll come out of there with a good finish and get some good experience racing with the top guys in the ARCA/CRA Super Series.” He added.

In his last race, back on May 23rd in the Memorial 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Columbus, Bear overcame going to the rear of the field twice to post his first career top five finish, a fifth in the debut with his new Crew Chief. That finish moved him into 11th overall in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour point’s standings and fifth in the chase for the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title.

The 2014 racing season for Bear was with the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series. In his first season ever behind the wheel of a full-sized stock car, he finished third in the rookie points and a sixth place finish overall. He was the only rookie to win a race as he scored two victories including the biggest one of his career to date; The Winchester 50 during the 43rd Running of the Winchester 400 Weekend at the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway (IN) on October 11th. His other trip to victory lane came at the fast 1/4 mile of Anderson Speedway (IN) on September 13th.

Overall he scored three top five finishes which also accounted for his three top 10s. Seven of the 10 races conducted resulted in at least a top 15 finish while two other finishes in the top five were wiped out in post-race tech due to an engine issue. He also scored one Allstar Performance Fast Qualifier Award which came at Angola Motorsport Speedway (IN) on August 10th.
