17-Year-Old Tristan Van Wieringen To Make First JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Start Of 2015

ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour regular back behind the wheel of the DuroByte Crate Late Model at Auto City Speedway

Corunna, Michigan (Wednesday, August 5, 2015): Tristan Van Wieringen, the 17-year-old younger brother of NEMCO Motorsports Development Driver, Dominique Van Wieringen, has been racing with the ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour for the balance of the 2015 racing season. So far the Canadian teenager is an impressive third in the season long point’s chase and has been close to victory on numerous occasions. After spending the 2014 season with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, his touring series experience has come in handy with the open-wheeled Modified Tour.

Now the younger Van Wieringen will get a chance at a little redemption back in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. After finishing 10th in the points in his rookie season behind the wheel of a Late Model, highlighted by an impressive third place finish at the famed Milwaukee Mile (WI), Van Wieringen will return to the seat of a Crate Late Model on Saturday, August 8th at Auto City Speedway (MI) in the running of the Dog Days of Summer 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

Van Wieringen will fill the seat for this one race which is normally occupied by recently turned 17-year-old Kody Evans who has been racing the car for DuroByte Motorsports in every JEGS/CRA race so far in 2015. While Tristan will maintain the status of the DuroByte Motorsports JEG/CRA entry, 20-year-old Dominique Van Wieringen will be behind the wheel of his Modified keeping up the DuroByte Motorsports Owners Points in ICAR by racing at Dixie Motor Speedway (MI) on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th at Whittemore Speedway (MI).

“It has been a while since I have driven a Late Model. I am really looking forward to getting behind the wheel and race at Auto City.” Stated the Amherstburg, Ontario / Canada teenager. “We are looking forward to a great weekend for both Dominique and I. I know she’ll do really well especially at Dixie. Both races have pretty strong entry lists, but I know she’ll do just fine.” He added.

For the Auto City JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race, Tristan Van Wieringen will pilot the renumbered #81 DuroByte Motorsports / Ford Fusion and will have sponsorship support and decals from Nalett Trucking, Howe Racing Enterprises, JEGS.com, Keyser Manufacturing, Fastenal Corporation, Phil Harper Motorsports by Ilmor, AR Bodies, and M.P.H. Promotions.
