$15,000 to Win Parallax Power Supply Redbud 400 up Next for the ARCA/CRA Super Series

Salem, IN (July 12, 2018) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will return to action this Monday in the prestigious $15,000 to win Parallax Power Supply Redbud 400 Presented by Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto Tool & Engineering on the fast quarter mile of Anderson Speedway, located in Anderson, Indiana. Past CRA winners of the prestigious Redbud race include Steve Wallace in 2017, Dalton Armstrong in 2016, Erik Jones in 2015, Daniel Hemric in 2014, Johnny Van Doorn in 2013, Ross Kenseth in 2012, Steve Dorer in 2011, Scott Hantz in 2010 and Kyle Busch in 2009.

 

Josh Brock comes into Monday’s event as the series points leader after getting his first ever series victory at Anderson Speedway on May 5th. Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year point leader Austin Kunert is second in season Championship points after picking up his first series win at Kil-Kare Raceway on June 2nd, he is seventeen points behind Brock. Fellow rookie Jon Beach is in third place, he is 37 points behind Kunert. Hunter Jack is in fourth place, he is six points behind Beach. 2017 series Champion and Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year Logan Runyon is in fifth place, he is two points behind Jack. All the top five are entered for Monday’s event.

 

There are 28 cars entered to date for the Redbud 400, as previously released, 2017 winner Steve Wallace is entered along with former winners Dalton Armstrong, Johnny VanDoorn and Steve Dorer.

Other top drivers from around the country entered include ARCA Racing Series event winner and CRA SpeedFest 2018 winner Chandler Smith, Kyle Busch Motorsports racer Rapheal Lessard, former NASCAR Xfinity Series racer Dakota Armstrong, the older brother of Dalton, Stephen Nasse, Austin Nason, Harold Fair Jr. and Chuck Barnes Jr.

 

Other top CRA drivers entered for the Redbud 400 include Greg Van Alst, Jack Dossey III, Billy Van Meter, Brett Robinson, Brandon Oakley, Dan Leeck, Ryan Issacs, Cassten Everidge, Fred Hopkins, J.P. Crabtree and Rich Segvich.  Also 2016 and 2017 Anderson Speedway Late Model Champion Jeff Marcum, who has won five straight Anderson Late Model events so far in 2018.

 

The Parallax Power Supply Redbud 400 will be 400 laps counting yellows. The Parallax Power Supply Redbud 400 will also feature Controlled Cautions, which were first used for this event in 2017 with great success. When a yellow comes out teams will have three laps to service their race car without losing laps or positions on pit road. Those cars will then line up behind the cars that did not pit at that yellow. Teams not getting out of the pits in the three laps will have to fall to the tail of the field and will risk losing laps.

 

There will be an open practice on Sunday, pits open at 3pm with practice from 4 to 8pm. Pits open on Monday at 11am. Practice will go from 1:30pm to 3:15pm. EDCO Welding Qualifying will begin at 4:45pm. There will be an autograph session with all the events drivers starting at 6pm. The Parallax Power Supply Redbud 400 Presented by Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto Tool & Engineering will go green at 7:30pm. Tuesday is the rain date if needed.
