Indiana teenager to also race twice in weekly competition at Angola Motorsport Speedway
Auburn, Indiana (Tuesday, June 30, 2015): With a small vacation from the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS schedule, 15-year-old Hunter Jack has been staying sharp by racing in weekly Late Model Sportsman competition at Angola Motorsport Speedway in Angola, Indiana. In six total races at the 3/8s mile in Northern Indiana, Jack is an impressive third in the standings behind veteran Tommy Cook. Now it’s time to get back into CRA mode for the Auburn, Indiana teenager, at least for one night.
The third race of the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series Presented by Visit Hendricks County is on Friday, July 3rd at theĀ immaculate 0.686 mile progressively banked paved oval located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana. The LOR Independence Day 30 for the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series will highlight the night in the Circle City. In two previous races for Jack at LOR, he has scored finishes of seventh on April 24th and 10th on May 8th.
“We’ve been having a lot of success at Angola with consecutive top five’s. We’re leading laps and getting closer and closer to a win every time out.” Stated the Hoosier State teenager as he prepares for a hectic Holiday Weekend. “I’m very excited to get back to LOR. We’re still trying to figure out how to get myself into the top five there and we think that we have some good Ideas going back and hopefully we can get a strong finish there.” He added.
So far in 2015 within the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, Jack has accumulated at least a top 10 finish in all four events held so far. Jack scored a season high of a seventh which came at LOR back on April 24th. In addition, Jack sits seventh overall in CRA Late Model Sportsman Series points and third in the Rookie of the Year title chase. He’s also sitting fifth in the LOR Stock Car Series standings.
After the race in Indianapolis, Jack and his Brent Jack Racing Team will head back to Angola for a pair of events to complete the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, July 4-5th. The tracks weekly Late Model Sportsman division will run two complete shows over both days as Jack looks to continue his quest for the 2015 track championship while also chasing after the 2015 CRA Late Model Sportsman Series title and rookie honors.
The teenager will also make some starts in one of his Dad’s Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models. In his only Outlaw SLM start in 2015 on June 10th at Angola, the younger Jack led the first 31 laps and would bring home an impressive seventh place finish ahead of his father who finished eighth. His next scheduled start in an Outlaw Super Late Models will be on Wednesday, July 15th at Baer Field Speedway in the Hoosier 100, an independent event for the wedge bodied machines.
For the remainder of the 2015 racing season, Jack’s blue #41 Brent Jack Racing / Chevrolet SS will carry sponsorship support and decals from Auburn Concrete and Masonry as well as Brent’s Automotive Repair, Hartman Auto Body, Krieger Racing Engines, Ben Davis Chevrolet, , Wild Willie’s Towing and M.P.H. Promotions. Hunter’s Father, Brent Jack recently competed in a Main EventĀ Race Series event at Dixie Motor Speedway where he finished 13th after dropping out late in the event while running in the top 10.
