(Pensacola, FL) – The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour is set for race 2 of the 2025 racing season with the Sunshine State 200 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch this Sunday, March 23rd. 28 drivers are set to battle it out for the $15,000 top prize.
The Sunshine State 200 serves as a combination race, aligning with the ASA Southern Super Series and Five Flags Speedway’s Blizzard Series. Among the entered drivers, 9 Track Championships will be represented. Bubba Pollard is a 5 time Super Late Model Track Champion while Jake Garcia is a former Champion in the Pro Late Models and the Super Late Models. Youngster Carson Brown is the defending Champion of the Pro Late Models and Jake Finch is a former Champion in the Outlaw division.
Two former winners of the Snowball Derby are also entered including defending Snowball Derby winner Kaden Honeycutt and 2022 winner Derek Thorn. Other notable drivers entered include Stephen Nasse, Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour Point Leader Gavan Boschele, last year’s Sunshine State 200 winner Cole Butcher, former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter and 2024 ASA STARS National Tour Rookie of the Year driver Kyle Steckly.

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.
The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different racetracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
