WINCHESTER, In. — The Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway has a long history of incredible racing, dating back to 1970. For the 53rd Winchester 400 presented by Vores Welding and Steel, Winchester Speedway owner Charlie Shaw wants to emphasize his gratitude towards the drivers, teams and fans that have made the event special over the years.
“We have been working hard to let the fans and drivers know we appreciate them and want them to attend this year’s Winchester 400 weekend,” said Shaw. “You will see several new things we are implementing to show everyone just that.”
Part of the event’s storied history is the Winchester Rifle bestowed to the winner each year. For the first time, the winners across all eight divisions competing on Winchester 400 weekend in 2024 will receive Winchester Rifle trophies.
The winner of the ASA STARS National Tour’s 400-lap Super Late Model showcase on Sunday will be awarded a gold Winchester Rifle trophy. For the other seven divisions, the Winchester Rifle trophy will be silver.
For many of the divisions at this year’s Winchester 400, it will be their first opportunity to race for the Winchester Rifle trophy. That will undoubtedly make it one of the most enticing trophies of the season for those teams.
