West Coast Star Derek Thorn to Compete in 37th Glass City 200 at Toledo Speedway

Toledo, OH – One of the West Coast’s most decorated short track racers, Derek Thorn, has officially filed his entry for the 37th running of the CorvettePart.Net Glass City 200, scheduled for Saturday, September 13 at Toledo Speedway. The prestigious 200-lap showdown is race 10 of the 2025 season for the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour.

Thorn, from Bakersfield, California, is a two-time ARCA Menards Series West Champion and one of the most accomplished Super Late Model drivers in the country. He has scored victories in multiple short track crown jewel events, including the Snowball Derby, Winter Showdown, and the Snowflake 100. Thorn is also a multiple-time SRL Southwest Tour Champion, where he has been the benchmark for success on the West Coast.

Practice will get underway at Noon with the ASA STARS National Tour while CorvetteParts.Net Pole Qualifying is slated for 3:00 PM. Following Qualifying the Factory Stocks and Late Model Sportsman will run their features. At 4:30 PM we’ll have an on track autograph session with the field for the 37th CorvetteParts.Net Glass City 200 until 5:00 PM with the 200 lapper set to begin at 5:30 PM.
