Sunshine State 200 Switches To Sunday March 23rd

(Pensacola, FL) – ASA STARS National Tour officials along with ASA Southern Super Series and Five Flags Speedway officials have announced that the Sunshine State 200, which was originally scheduled for Friday, March 21st, has now been moved to Sunday, March 23rd for a Sunday matinee.

Friday, March 21st will now see local divisions, TBA at a later date, kick off the three-day Season Opening weekend. The Vores Compact Touring Series will also have an optional practice on Friday. Saturday will be the Season Opener for ARCA Menards Series East and the Vores Compact Touring Series along with practice for the ASA STARS National Tour. Sunday will see the nation’s best Super Late Models battle it out for the Sunshine State 200.

Additionally it was announced that the Southern Super Series has added the Florida Governor’s Cup at New Smyrna Speedway for 2025. The championship crowning event is set to take place on Saturday, November 15th. This will be the second time that the Southern Super Series has crowned a champion at the historic high banked half mile oval.


ASA STARS National Tour

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.

The ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different race tracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
