Dawson Sutton Scores 1st Super Late Model Victory at the Milwaukee Mile
Patience paid off for the young Tennessee driver as Dawson Sutton would get past local favorite Ty Majeski in the closing laps to win the Father’s Day 100. Sutton also stretched his lead in the Rookie of the Year Standings as he is now ahead of Kyle Steckly by 69 points.
Halfway Through the 2024 Season
When the checkered flag flew on Sunday afternoon the ASA STARS National Tour officially reached the halfway point in the season. Five races are in and five races remain including several Super Late Model Crown Jewel events.
Strong Weekend For Caden Kvapil
It was a very positive weekend for the North Carolina driver. He finished 4th in the Capital 200 at Madison International Speedway on Friday and backed it up with a 6th place finish at Milwaukee on Sunday. His run at Madison would be a career best finish for the young driver.
Roderick Takes Over Point Lead
Following a runner up finish on Friday at Madison Roderick backed it up with a 4th place finish on Sunday at Milwaukee. His two strong finishes gave him a 24 point advantage as the tour now heads into Anderson for the Redbud 400 on Saturday July 20th.
Majeski Was Strong All Weekend
He came in as one of the favorites for the weekend. On Friday Majeski would be fast throughout the entire day and come home with the win in the Capital 200. Saturday he would be fastest all day during practice. Sunday he dominated the Father’s Day 100 until the closing laps when Dawson Sutton would get by him for the win.
Career Finish For Nason
Austin Nason would come home with a 3rd place finish in the Capital 200 on Friday night. The 3rd place finish would be a ASA STARS National Tour best for Nason. Nason has had lots of success at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ and his knowledge and experience paid off.
