Owosso, MI – The Michigan 300 is set to deliver one of the most competitive fields of the 2025 season, as 25 Super Late Model drivers prepare to battle for ASA STARS National Tour glory at Owosso Speedway on Wednesday, August 20. The midweek classic will bring together a mix of NASCAR stars, short track veterans, and rising young talent for 300 laps on the challenging .375-mile oval.
Headlining the entry list are NASCAR Cup Series drivers Erik Jones, Noah Gragson, and home-state favorite Carson Hocevar, each returning to their short track roots for a shot at one of the ASA STARS’ crown jewels.
Current Series Point Leader Cole Butcher will look to add another major win to his resume, while short track legends Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse, and Derek Thorn bring their big-race expertise to Michigan. West Coast standouts Kole Raz and Kasey Kleyn will look to take on Canadian young guns Kyle Steckly and Chase Pinsonneault.
Wisconsin will be well-represented with veterans Johnny Sauter, Derek Kraus, and Gabe Sommers, each capable of contending for the win. From Illinois, Austin Nason brings his 14 machine to the 300-lap showdown.
The event also features an exciting rookie class, including Gavan Boschele, George Phillips, Carson Brown, Ty Fredrickson, and Dawson Sutton.
Michigan’s own Blake Rowe, Steven Ulman and Will Sahutske will have plenty of home state support while Albert Francis, and Gabrielle Grigsby round out the competitive field.
The Michigan 300 marks a return to ASA history at Owosso Speedway. The original ASA National Tour featured legendary winners at the Michigan oval, including Canadian star Junior Hanley (1977), Randy Sweet (1978), and Mike Eddy (1979). The ASA STARS National Tour made its return to the track in 2024, where Chandler Smith took the checkered flag.
Also in action on August 20 will be the Street Stocks, adding a local flair to a night filled with racing’s rising stars and established talent.
