The ASA STARS National Tour was back in action on a hot Sunday afternoon at Owosso Speedway. 22 cars were on hand and ready to battle it out. During Go Fas Pole Qualifying it was series point leader Casey Roderick coming away with the $1,000 bonus.
As the field came to green it was Casey Roderick and Kyle Steckly leading the field to green. Roderick would get the early advantage and lead the first 34 laps. On lap 35 the young Steckly would get by Roderick and take the lead. Steckly would go on to win the first stage and take home the $1,000 stage winner bonus. As the field came to green to start Stage 2 it would be Chandler Smith taking the lead. Smith would lead for 10 laps as the battle heated up between him and Austin Nason for the lead. Smith and Nason would battle for the lead swapping back and forth several times with Smith coming away with the Stage 2 win and taking home the $1,000 bonus. The pits would open and everyone was coming in for new tires and fuel for the 55 lap shootout. On the restart Nason would take the lead with Smith knocking on his door. From lap 151 to lap 163 the two would swap the lead 4 different times. On lap 163 Smith would get to the inside of Nason and take the lead and never look back. As the checkered flag flew it was Smith crossing the line first with Nason second and Gavan Boschele rounding out the podium.
