Winchester, IN – North Carolina’s George Phillips, one of the rising young stars in short track racing, has officially entered the 54th Annual Winchester 400, scheduled for Sunday, October 12 at the historic Winchester Speedway. The 400-lap crown jewel, sanctioned by the ASA STARS National Tour, is regarded as one of the most grueling and prestigious events in all of Super Late Model racing.
Phillips has had several strong runs in his Rookie season with the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour. He has already recorded five top-10 finishes, including a season-best fourth-place run at New Smyrna Speedway. Before joining the tour, Phillips was the Carolina Pro Late Model Series Champion and has found Victory Lane in Pro Late Model action, including the Pro Late Model 100 at the Florida Governor’s Cup weekend in 2024 and a triumph at Montgomery Motor Speedway in the Show Me The Money Pro Late Model Series.
The 54th Running of the Winchester 400 presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel takes place on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Winchester Speedway. Racing action kicks off on Friday night with the CRA JEGS All Stars Tour while Saturday features ASA STARS National Tour Practice, CorvetteParts.Net Pole Qualifying as well as racing action including the Modifieds, CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman.
