Rising Star Boschele Eying ASA STARS National Tour

Mooresville, NC – Team Chevrolet Racing Development driver Gavan Boschele and Rackley WAR are looking to continue their success in 2024 with their sights set on the ASA STARS National Tour.

At 15 years old, many in the racing world have touted Boschele as one of the most diverse young talents in the country. After an incredibly impressive year on the pavement in 2023, both Gavan and Rackley WAR will look to continue to ride their wave of momentum and success into 2024. The difference this year will be Gavan will pilot the Team Chevy Rackley WAR Super Late Model. He’ll make his debut in January at Speedfest at Crisp Motorsports Park. The team plans to run nearly the full schedule with the ASA STARS National Tour.

“We are really excited to continue working with Gavan for 2024. He’s done an incredible job in the Pro Late Model, celebrating a win in his first season, and continues to be a factor everywhere we go to race,” commented Willie Allen, co-owner of Rackley WAR and an accomplished driver at all levels of racing in his own right. “He adapts well and brings great feedback to our organization. The plan is to move him up to the Super Late Model level next year, and the entire team is really pumped for this next big step in his development and career.”

He got his start in racing on the dirt, winning multiple championships and national Midget races, including the first-ever Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series race at Millbridge Speedway in 2022. Last season, he became the youngest-ever USCS 360 Sprint Car winner and USCS 360 Rookie of the Year, while winning seven races with the series driving for NASCAR Cup Series star Christopher Bell. He’s also a Golden Driller winner at the Tulsa Shootout, winning the Stock Non-Wing feature to end 2022.

He has proven that he can win on both pavement and dirt. He did so by winning the Pro Late Model race at the Florida Governor’s Cup at New Smyrna Speedway, doing so in dominating fashion with a stout field. Additionally, he turned heads in his first Snowflake 100 appearance, qualifying third for the event only to have his impressive night shortened from contract from a lapped car.

“I’m excited to be back with Willie, Curtis, Travis, Mark, Fisher, Scott, Roo and the entire Rackley WAR. team,” Boschele stated. “We had great success from our very first race together in May, and, given the limited amount of time working together and me racing and learning these cars, I really feel like we’ve been a contender to win everywhere we go.”

The jump to Super Late Model racing and the strong competition of the ASA STARS National Tour will be a huge step for the youngster, but the Mooresville, NC racer is confident in his ability and that of the Rackley WAR team.

“Willie and the Rackley WAR team have a great Super Late Model program and I can’t wait to get started with them at Speedfest,” Boschele continued. “I’m sure that there will be a learning curve with the Super Late Model coming from the Pro Late Model, but as in anything that I race I’m going to work incredibly hard and give this team everything that I have to make sure we’re winning. I’m excited.”
