Granite Falls, NC – The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour has announced a new date at Tri County Speedway in Granite Falls, NC.
The series was supposed to compete back in May, but it was rained out.
The new date has been set for Wednesday, September 9th, and it will be bigger and better!
This event will also be in partnership with the upcoming CARS Tour event on Saturday, September 12th.
MDM Promotions, who will be promoting the September 9th event, and be working with the CARS Tour to create some unique ticketing options for fans, creating a great week of racing for fans at this double header week at Tri County Speedway.
The Carolina 250 will feature the Platinum drivers of the ASA STARS National Tour along with a host of NASCAR and upcoming second-generation drivers.
NASCAR Cup driver Christopher Bell, driver of the #20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, will drive a Wilson Motorsports entry with additional Cup drivers expected to enter and be announced.
The Harvick family will also be in attendance with Keelan driving his super late model and his father, Kevin, serving as the grand marshal of the event.
In addition, the U.S. Legends Cars will also be racing Wednesday, September 9th and it will be a National Qualifier event.
Current STARS National Tour points leader Carson Brown, fresh off his victory at Slinger Super Speedway and this past weekend at Newport Speedway, hope to beat out the NASCAR stars and extend his points lead.
They will be joined by other STARS Platinum drivers including Kyle Steckly, Tristan McKee, Jade Avedisian, Chase Pinsonneault, Derek Thorn, Casey Roderick, Derek Kraus, George Phillips, and many more such as Stephen Nasse, Bubba Pollard, and Ty Fredrickson.
