ANDERSON, IN – One of NASCAR’s bright rising stars is headed back to his short track roots. Carson Hocevar, full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series for Spire Motorsports, has officially filed his entry for the 59th Annual CB Fabricating Redbud 400, set for Saturday, July 26 at Anderson Speedway. The 400-lap Super Late Model showdown is a marquee event on the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour, attracting top talent from across the country.
A native of Portage, Michigan, Hocevar is having a breakout season in the NASCAR Cup ranks, scoring runner-up finishes at Atlanta and Nashville Superspeedway, and a win at Kansas Speedway in limited NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition. The 22-year-old already owns a decorated short track résumé, including a 2020 Redbud 400 victory, three wins in the Money in the Bank 150 at Berlin Raceway, and a 2020 Winchester 400 triumph.
Race day for the 59th Annual Redbud 400 will be packed with action. Final practice for the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour competitors is set for 2:00 PM, followed by CorvetteParts.net Pole Qualifying at 6:00 PM. Fans will get a chance to meet their favorite drivers during an on-track autograph session at 6:30 PM, just before the green flag drops on the main event at 7:35 PM.
