Jones, Noland Among Early Entries for ASA STARS National Tour Sunshine State 200

(Pensacola, FL) Young guns Conner Jones and Jett Noland are among the earliest entries for the “Sunshine State 200” at Five Flags Speedway, in Pensacola, FL. The second race of the 2024 ASA STARS National Tour is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 23 & 24. This race will be co-sanctioned with the Southern Super Series and will be their 3rd race of 2024.

Jones, the 17-year-old from Fredericksburg, VA set fast time during Go Fas Pole Qualifying at the ASA STARS National Tour season opening event at New Smyrna Speedway on February 13, and led the 32-car starting field for the Clyde Hart Memorial 200 to the green flag. Jones would run in the top 15 all evening and finished 13th on the lead lap.

Noland, a rising star at just 20 years old, turned in a stellar performance in the ASA STARS National Tour Clyde Hart Memorial, finishing runner-up to race winner Bubba Pollard.

Noland qualified 9th and remained in the top ten through the first stage. The youngster then began marching towards the front, finishing 3rd at the end of stage 2 before settling for 2nd to Pollard at the drop of the checkers. Noland comes into the third race of the year for the Southern Super Series third in points just 19 behind Southern Super Series Point leader Bubba Pollard and 14 behind Casey Roderick.

The ASA STARS National Tour returns to action on Sunday afternoon, March 24 for the Sunshine State 200 at the legendary Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL in a race that is co-sanctioned with the Southern Super Series. The event will be a “Spring Break Stock Car Double Header,” as the ASA STARS National Tour will be joined by the ARCA Menards Series East on Saturday, March 23. It’s all part of a three-day weekend of racing that begins on Friday, March 22 with the season opener for three local classes. Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America.
 
The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

ASA Southern Super Series
The ASA Southern Super Series is a Southeast regional super late model pavement championship racing tour, owned and operated by Tim and Pat Bryant in partnership with Track Enterprises. Founded in 2013, the Series can trace its roots back to the former Southern All Stars Tour and today runs a 10-12 race schedule, competing primarily in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
