(Pensacola, FL) – Former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter is entered for the Sunshine State 200 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch at Five Flags Speedway on Sunday March 23rd.
Sauter and his family have a deep history with ASA. Sauter’s dad was the late Jim Sauter who raced with the ASA National Tour in the 1980’s winning seven features including the All American 400. Johnny Sauter ran full time with ASA back in 2001 winning 10 of the 20 events and winning the overall Points Championship as well. Now Sauter is teamed up with Wauters Motorsports to run the full schedule in 2025.
The Sunday, March 23rd matinee will conclude the weekend as the top Super Late Model drivers in the country will square off in the ASA STARS National Tour Sunshine State 200. The event is a combination race with the ASA Southern Super Series and the track’s Blizzard Series. Qualifying will be at 12:00 pm CT, autograph session at 12:45 pm CT, and racing at 2:00 pm CT.
Last year’s opening weekend saw great racing for all three days and fans can catch the whole weekend this year for a special price of just $60 for a three-day ticket. Single day tickets are also available for reserved and general admission seating.
