JEGS Tour Champion, Chase Burda Eyeing Redbud 400 After Successful Debut in 2023

Anderson, IN – The 2024 season has been nothing short of challenging for the defending JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Champion, Chase Burda. The Lapeer, Michigan native has had bad luck, broken engines, and more bad luck through the first half of the season. However, after a win on June 22nd at Flat Rock Speedway, the Kulwicki Driver Development finalist is seeing improvement and momentum again in his season and is taking that momentum into the 58th Annual Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, July 20th.

In between his campaign with the JEGS Tour in 2023, Burda made four starts with the ASA STARS National Tour, the sanctioning body for this year’s Redbud 400. Those starts included his first-ever trip to Anderson Speedway and his inaugural start in the prestigious Super Late Model event. Burda started 17th out of the 18 cars that were able to take the green in 2023 and worked his way up to 10th by the time the checkered flag flew.

Burda found limited success with the ASA STARS National Tour in 2023. In his four starts, his only finish outside of the top 10 came during the All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in November after he was involved in an accident. Otherwise, Burda posted the aforementioned 10th place finish at Anderson, third place at the Glass City 200 at Toledo Speedway, and seventh in the Winchester 400.

This season, Burda returned to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, May 4th for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 100 with the JEGS Tour, but engine issues snuck in after the halfway point of the race and the team was forced to settle for 11th. The turnaround is evident, however, as Burda earned another podium finish over the holiday weekend at Whittemore Speedway, finishing third after battling for the lead on a late-race restart.

The Redbud 400 is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Anderson (IN) Speedway. The event will serve as race #6 of the ASA Stars National Tour season. The Redbud 400 will be co-sanctioned by the ASA CRA Super Series.
