(New Smyrna, FL) – Jade Avedisian has officially entered the Sig Sauer Academy Clyde Hart Memorial presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch, bringing one of the most versatile and accomplished resumes in short track racing to the field at New Smyrna Speedway. Avedisian is a former Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series Champion and a Tulsa Shootout winner, and has continued to make an impact on pavement racing with a third-place finish at Jennerstown Speedway in the Motor Mountain Masters 150 with the CRA Pro Series, a CARS Tour Pro Late Model victory, and two wins in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series.
The Clyde Hart Memorial is one of the premier events at New Smyrna Speedway, contested annually during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The event honors Clyde Hart, the founding father of New Smyrna Speedway, whose vision and leadership helped establish the facility as a cornerstone of short track racing in Florida. The two-day format begins on Monday, February 9, featuring Practice, Hamke Pole Qualifying, and the Last Chance Race. Also racing on Monday are the Tour Type Modifieds, Pro Late Models and the 602 Modifieds. Tuesday, February 10, will see the 27th running of the prestigious 200-lap Clyde Hart Memorial main event, drawing top Super Late Model teams from across the country to one of the most historic venues in short track racing.
