Hudson Bulger swept qualifying for Protect Your Melon – Buckle Up SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway, setting fast time in both the Super Late Models and Pro Late Models.
Bulger qualified at 15.555 seconds for the Super Late Model feature co-sanctioned by the ASA/CRA Super Series and ASA Southern Super Series. Cole Butcher was second-fastest, followed by Colby Howard, Gavan Boschele and Dawson Sutton.
Matt Craig, Bubba Pollard and Ross Chastain completed the top eight qualifiers who will be part of a redraw to solidify the starting lineup for Friday night’s 150-lap Super Late Model feature. Chastain’s fellow NASCAR Cup Series competitor, Chase Elliott, qualified 18th in his search for a fourth SpeedFest win.
For the second year in a row, Bulger claimed the Luke Yoder Construction pole award for fast time during Pro Late Model qualifying. Bulger clocked in at 15.898 seconds, qualifying ahead of Tyler Reif, Luke Baldwin, Seth Christensen and Blaise Rutherford.
