(New Smyrna, FL) – Two time and defending ASA Midwest Tour Champion Gabe Sommers is set to kick off his 2025 season at New Smyrna Speedway. Sommers is among the strong list of drivers that have already entered for the 200 lap event.
2024 was a very strong season for Sommers. With the Midwest Tour he picked up the win in the Hawkeye 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. He also had 7 Top 5’s and 9 Top 10’s with an average finish of 5th. His consistency paid off as he earned his 2nd consecutive ASA Midwest Tour Championship. He also was the Alive for Five Champion at Dells Raceway Park. In the 5 race mini series Sommers picked up 2 wins and a 2nd place finish en route to claiming his 2nd Alive for Five Championship. The 2023 Oktoberfest Race Weekend winner will now look to add his name to the historic list of winners at New Smyrna Speedway.
ASA STARS National Tour
Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.
The ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different race tracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
