Food Country USA Joins ASA STARS National Tour as Title Sponsor for Newport Speedway Event

(Newport, TN) – Food Country USA has been announced as the title sponsor for the upcoming ASA STARS National Tour event at Newport Speedway on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The race will now be coined the Food Country USA 300 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch.

The race, part of a Memorial Day Weekend doubleheader, will showcase the top Super Late Model drivers in the country at the newly renovated Newport Speedway. The high-banked oval is nicknamed ‘Little Bristol’ as it features 26 degrees of banking.

Food Country USA, a family-owned grocery chain with deep roots in the Appalachian region, has long been a supporter of community events and local initiatives. Their involvement as title sponsor underscores their dedication to supporting grassroots motorsports.

The Food Country USA 300 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch is set to feature a full day of racing action, culminating in the headline ASA STARS National Tour race. Also racing on Saturday May 24th are the Front Wheel Drives and “America’s Class”, the Crown Vics. Qualifying is set for 4:30 with racing to follow. Before the start of the Food Country USA 300 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch, an on track autograph session will take place from 6:00 – 6:45. Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet with their favorite drivers leading up to the green flag at 7:30.

Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.

The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different racetracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
