NEWTON, NC – One of the most anticipated Super Late Model events of the year is just days away as the Ross & Witmer 255 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch takes center stage this Thursday, May 22 at the legendary Hickory Motor Speedway. Sanctioned by the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour, the event marks the third annual running of the Ross & Witmer 255, and the entry list is nothing short of elite.

🌟 Headlining Drivers Entered for the Ross & Witmer 255:

🏁 Chase Elliott – The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion returns to his roots in a rare Super Late Model appearance. Elliott is no stranger to Hickory and is sure to be a crowd favorite when the green flag drops Thursday night.

🏁 Cole Butcher – The Canadian standout and winner of the recent North-South Super Late Model Challenge at Nashville rolls into Hickory with momentum and the point lead and looks to add another trophy to his collection.

🏁 Bubba Pollard – One of the most decorated and respected short-track racers in the country, Pollard is no stranger to Victory Lane and will be a contender from the drop of the green. Pollard had some bad luck early in 2025 but could break through at Hickory.

🏁 Stephen Nasse – Known for his no-nonsense, aggressive style, the Florida driver has scored major wins across the country and will be hungry to add a Hickory win to his resume. Nasse is currently 3rd in series points and has shown consistency early.

🏁 Matt Craig – The Concord, NC native is a multi-time CARS Tour Super Late Model champion and a past winner at Hickory, making him a strong local favorite. Craig is currently 4th in series standings.

🏁 Derek Thorn – The West Coast ace brings his talent and experience to Hickory looking to make another step toward victory lane. After a slow start, Thorn had a strong run at Dominion, contending for victory late.

🏁 Spencer Davis – The Georgia driver is a NASCAR competitor and Modified standout who loves racing Super Late Models for Ben Kennedy Racing. Davis will be looking for a breakthrough national tour victory.

Additional entries include ASA STARS Tour regulars and regional standouts who will battle for 255 grueling laps around one of the most historic short tracks in America.
