The detailed schedule for the Vore’s Welding and Steel Short Track U.S. Nationals presented by Owosso Speedway weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway is now available.
Taking place on Saturday, April 6, the Short Track U.S. Nationals: The Last Lap will bring the CRA Street Stock Series powered by JEGS, Midwest Modifieds Tour powered by Wheeler Trucking, and the Vores Compact Touring Series powered by Mercer County Electric to “The Last Great Colosseum.”
Interest in the event has been overwhelming, with entries closed for all three divisions and a waiting list available for those who did not enter but would still like to participate in the event should an opening become available. More than 235 entries were accepted for the Short Track U.S. Nationals.
Haulers can stage at the facility on Thursday, April 4. Teams are asked to utilize the Bristol Dragway entrance located off of Highway 394 for hauler staging on Thursday. There will also be a pre-race party at Michael Waltrip Brewing starting at 5 p.m. Thursday. More information will be made available regarding this party in the coming days.
The credential office will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, with the pit area opening and hauler parking beginning at 2 p.m. The garage area will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday evening.
All on-track activity for the Short Track U.S. Nationals is scheduled for Saturday, April 6. Each division will get a round of practice before group qualifying to set feature lineups. For the CRA Street Stocks and Vores Compacts, qualifying will set the fields for A, B and C Mains.
Practice will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, with qualifying at 2:15 p.m. Feature racing is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The full schedule breakdown can be viewed below.
