(Oregon, WI) – It will be a busy weekend for Derek Kraus and team as they attempt to run the Bytec Cheeseland Howie Lettow Classic on Friday Night at Madison International Speedway with the ASA Midwest Tour and then drive through the night to Anderson Speedway to run the Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway with the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour.
Kraus will be among a stacked field of contenders in both races. Friday’s Howie Lettow Classic features many of the Midwest Tour’s best like Casey Johnson, Paul Shafer Jr, Gabe Sommers, Levon Van Der Geest, Ty Fredrickson, Andrew Morrissey and Justin Mondiek, while Saturday’s Redbud 400 entry list reads like a who’s-who of Super Late Model racing, including Bubba Pollard, Cole Butcher, Stephen Nasse, Derek Thorn, and Carson Hocevar.
Kraus is no stranger to success in high-profile Super Late Model events. The Stratford, Wisconsin native earned a breakthrough victory in the Food Country USA 300 at Newport Speedway earlier this season, outdueling some of the nation’s top talent in an absolute thriller of a race.
Fans can catch the Howie Lettow Classic at Madison International Speedway on Friday, July 25, and the 59th Annual CB Fabricating Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, July 26. Tickets for both events are available at the respective track websites. For those unable to attend in person, both races will be streamed live on TrackTV.com, the official home for ASA National and Midwest Tour broadcasts.
