(New Smyrna Beach, FL) – Northeast short track racer Derek Griffith is ready to take on the nation’s best Super Late Models in the 26th Annual Clyde Hart Memorial at New Smyrna Speedway.
Griffith has become a staple at New Smyrna Speedway during the World Series of Asphalt. He has 6 wins in Super Late Model competition and is a two time Super Late Model World Series of Asphalt Champion. In the Clyde Hart Memorial Griffith has been a front runner as well with a 4th place finish in 2022 and a 7th place finish in 2023. Griffith has also found Victory Lane in the Orange Blossom 100 which he won in 2019.
Back home Griffith is one of the top Super Late Model competitors. He’s a two time PASS National Champion. He’s a two time winner of the Icebreaker at the Thompson Speedway, two time winner of the Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway, Fall Foliage 150 winner at White Mountain Motorsports Park, and he’s won the South Carolina Clash 200 at Dillon Motor Speedway.

ASA STARS National Tour
Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.
The ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different race tracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
