Winchester, Ind. – Canadian standout Cole Butcher will return to Winchester Speedway to defend his crown in the 54th Annual Winchester 400, one of the most prestigious events in Super Late Model racing. The 400-lap classic, sanctioned by the ASA STARS National Tour, is set for Sunday, October 12.
Butcher, from Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia, etched his name into short track history last fall when he captured the 2024 Winchester 400, one of the crown jewel victories of his career. He now returns with the goal of going back-to-back on the high banks, something only a select group of drivers have achieved in the race’s storied history.
In 2025, Butcher has continued to shine as one of the most consistent and dominant drivers on the ASA STARS National Tour, where he has scored four wins and currently leads the championship standings. His season has also included major victories in the ASA Southern Super Series, with wins in the Pensacola Sports 100 and the Tibbett’s Lumber 100 at Five Flags Speedway, along with the North/South Challenge 100 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
The 54th Running of the Winchester 400 presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel takes place on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Winchester Speedway. Racing action kicks off on Friday night with the CRA JEGS All Stars Tour while Saturday features ASA STARS National Tour Practice, CorvetteParts.Net Pole Qualifying as well as racing action including the Modifieds, CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman.
