Dawson Sutton Rides Out of the Glass City with Revenge Victory

Unofficial Results

(TOLEDO, OHIO) – The 2024 Glass City 200 ended in the parking lot for Lebanon, Tennessee driver Dawson Sutton. A hard wreck into the wall ended his bid for victory as his right front tire left the track and landed in the parking lot.

Sutton returned to Toledo Speedway for the 37th CorvetteParts.Net Glass City 200, and he left no doubt by winning the pole and leading four times for a total of 155 laps for the dominating victory. The win felt like redemption.

For Sutton, it’s his second-career ASA STARS National Tour win as he was victorious at The Milwaukee Mile in 2024. The race also marked the second-straight podium finish for Sutton, who was second at Owosso Speedway.

Series point leader Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) rebounded to finish second after some early race trouble, which included a lap two half spin.

15-year-old Max Reaves (Cumming, GA) finished third in his ASA STARS National Tour debut. Reaves led twice for 31 laps and overcame a spin before lap 100.

Kasey Kleyn (Quincy, WA) and Ty Majeski (Seymour, WI) had their times disallowed in CorvetteParts.Net Pole qualifying. They both rebounded for top-five runs with Kleyn coming from 21st to finish fourth. Majeski came from 20th to get fifth.

The race was slowed by eight cautions, but was still contested in just over one hour and thirty minutes.

Only two races remain in the 2025 ASA STARS National Tour schedule. Up next will be the first Major extra-distance race of the season with the 54th running of the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway (IN). Race day will be on October 12th, with pole qualifying taking place on October 11th.
