(Newton, NC) – Rising talent Dawson Sutton has officially entered the Ross & Witmer 255 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch, set to take place on Thursday, May 22, at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway. This event marks the 4th race of the 2025 ASA STARS National Tour season and kicks off the Memorial Day Weekend Double Header.
Sutton, the 19-year-old driver from Tennessee, is competing full-time in the 2025 Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour under the Platinum Program presented by Rackley Roofing and Track Enterprises. Just one year ago in this event Sutton came away with a 3rd place podium finish. Sutton is coming off of his best run of the 2025 season with the ASA STARS National Tour after he finished 5th at Dominion Raceway in the Appalachian Sucker Punch 250. The former winner of the Father’s Day 100 will look to get back to Victory Lane during the Ross & Witmer 255 at Hickory Motor Speedway on Thursday May 22nd.

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.
The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different racetracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
