Cory Hall Throws His Hat in the Ring for the Clyde Hart Memorial

(New Smyrna, FL) – Nova Scotia native Cory Hall has filed his entry for the Sig Sauer Academy Clyde Hart Memorial Presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch at New Smyrna Speedway on Tuesday February 10th. Hall is one of the many Super Late Model standouts who is set to kick off the 2026 season down at New Smyrna Speedway.

Last season, Hall made the trip to Florida and turned in a strong performance throughout the World Series of Asphalt. He captured the victory on Night 3, charging through the field from his seventh starting position and holding off a stout group of competitors that included Cole Butcher, Derek Griffith, Gavan Boschele, and Carson Brown. Hall also recorded a third-place finish in the 2025 edition of the Clyde Hart Memorial, further underscoring his strength in marquee events. In addition, he enjoyed a standout year with the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour, earning six victories at tracks such as Scotia Speedworld, Riverside International Speedway, and Oyster Bed Speedway.

The Clyde Hart Memorial is one of the premier events at New Smyrna Speedway, contested annually during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The event honors Clyde Hart, the founding father of New Smyrna Speedway, whose vision and leadership helped establish the facility as a cornerstone of short track racing in Florida. The two-day format begins on Monday, February 9, featuring Practice, Hamke Pole Qualifying, and the Last Chance Race. Also racing on Monday are the Tour Type Modifieds, Pro Late Models and the 602 Modifieds. Tuesday, February 10, will see the 27th running of the prestigious 200-lap Clyde Hart Memorial main event, drawing top Super Late Model teams from across the country to one of the most historic venues in short track racing.
