(Newton, NC) – Defending race winner and current ASA STARS National Tour points leader Cole Butcher is set to compete in the Ross & Witmer 255, presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch, on Thursday, May 22, at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway. This event marks the 4th race of the 2025 ASA STARS National Tour season.
Butcher, hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada, has had a stellar start to the 2025 season, securing victories at both Five Flags Speedway and Dominion Raceway. He currently leads the ASA STARS National Tour standings by 50 points over his Donnie Wilson Racing teammate Gavan Boschele. In Southern Super Series competition this season Butcher has been the guy to beat as well. He’s picked up wins at Five Flags Speedway in the Pensacola Sports 100 and the North South Challenge 100 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour for pavement Super Late Model stock cars debuted in March 2023.
The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour is a twelve-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit 12 different racetracks in 8 states in 2025, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
