Cole Butcher Enters Winchester 400

(Winchester, IN) – Canadian star Cole Butcher is set to return to ASA STARS National Tour competition during the 53rd Winchester 400 presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel. Butcher had to miss the last two events after having to undergo heart surgery. Butcher is good to go now and will look to win his first Winchester 400.

Butcher is a two time winner in 2024 winning the Sunshine State 200 at Five Flags Speedway and followed it up with the Tar Heel 250 at Hickory Motor Speedway. Just one year ago at Winchester Butcher finished 2nd to Donnie Wilson Racing Teammate Gio Ruggiero. Butcher is no stranger to big events having won the Oxford 250 twice and the Redbud 400 in 2023.

The 53rd Winchester 400 is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Winchester (IN) Speedway. The event will serve as race #9 of the ASA Stars National Tour season. The Winchester 400 will be co-sanctioned by the ASA CRA Super Series.

A full weekend of racing is on deck starting Friday with the CRA JEGS All Star Tour 100, Vore Compact Touring Series, Thunder Roadsters as well as New Star races for the CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman. Saturday features Practice and Go Fas Pole Qualifying for the ASA STARS National Tour while the Midwest Modifieds, CRA Street Stocks, CRA Late Model Sportsman and the Crown Vics will all run features. Sunday features a track walk and on track autograph session with the 53rd Winchester 400 set to take the green at 2pm.

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America.

The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
